The death angel visited the home of Mr and Mrs. Charley Stearns at Detroit, Mich., Sunday and claimed for its victim their baby, Ellen, 16 months old, a precious little flower budded on earth to bloom in Heaven. The body arrived here Tuesday, accompanied by the broken hearted father and mother where the funeral will be conducted for the home of Mrs. Stearns' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Houston. Rev. McCorkle of Cobden will officiate at the funeral, then the dear little babe will be laid to rest in the Alto Pass cemetery.
A sweet little life that brightened the home for a while, then God called her home among the other little flowers of his kingdom for he hath said in his word: "Of such is the kingdom of Heaven," where beyond the shining river she will be a light to guide the loved ones home. The heartbroken father and mother have the sympathy of all in the loss of their dear little babe.
