James Edward Durham, 60, Ginger Drive, died at 11:45 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2007, at his home following a long illness.

Graveside services were scheduled for 2:00 this afternoon at Green Hill Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Terry Peck officiating.

Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Hopkinsville, he was born Sept. 29, 1946, the son of Dorothy Grace, Hopkinsville, and the late Wilbur Payne Durham.

He was a farmer and was retired from the construction industry.

He was a member of the Kentucky Cattlemenís Association and was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was well-known as having been a star football player at Christian County High School.

He was a member of the Sinking Fork Christian Church.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Linda Kay Durham; a son, Brian Durham, Hopkinsville, and a sister, Linda Ledford, Hopkinsville.
