Ben P Scifres, 91, died Wednesday at 8:30pm at his home on Highway 111 after an illness. He was for many years associated with the the late Dr. J.W. Hazelwood and was a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge. Surviving are a son Clarence, Lafayette; a half-sister, Mrs. Sudie Barringer; and a half-brother, Frank Scifres, Crothersville. The body is at the Seabrook funeral home for services Friday at 2pm with burial in Fairview. New Albany Tribune Thurs. Sept 6, 1951
