PAWLEYS ISLAND - Priscilla Greer Garts, 75, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at home.
She was born Oct. 29, 1924, in Butler, Pa., a daughter of the late Thomas Greer and Alice Elizabeth Overheim Greer.
She grew up in Butler and was a graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa. She was a homemaker, a world traveler and an avid golfer. She was a member of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church and Litchfield Country Club. She moved to Pawleys Island from Chicago in 1981.
Survivors include her husband, James R. Garts; a son, James R. Garts Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.; a daughter, Kimberly G. Crum of Louisville, Ky.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 tonight at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church with a vigil service at 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the church. The Rev. Patrick J. Stenson will officiate. Inurnment will be private at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Columbarium.
Memorials may be made to Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church, 1633 Waverly Road, Pawleys Island 29585.
