Methodist Church is Scene of Blosser Feagans Nuptial Service Wedding vows were spoken by Miss Mary Margaret Feagans, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Feagans, of 613 South Third street, and T/Sgt. Harold Rumsey Blosser, U. S. Army Air Force, son of Mr. and Mrs. Asher A. Blosser, route five, Goshen, in a lovely wedding ceremony solemnized at two-thirty o'clock Sunday afternoon in the First methodist Church. The Rev. Donald Bailey, pastor of the church, read the double ring ceremony in the presence of 300 guests. As the ushers, Robert Thomas, Fred Nymeyer, and Larue Stepp, were seating the guests, Miss Jane Willey, organist, played a medley of bridal airs, and Lowell Byler sang "Because," and "I Love you Truly." After the vows were spoken Mr. Byler sang "The Lord's Prayer." Three large baskets of white chrysanthemums decorated the church chancel which was lighted by tall white tapers in seven branch candelabras. The pews on the bridal aisle were marked by large white chrysanthemums tied with satin bows. The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, Edwin O. Feagans, wore a gown of white slipper satin made with a high round neckline with a yoke of chiffon and the long sleeves came to calla lily points over the wrists. The long full skirt ended in a court train. The full length veil of silk illusion edged in heirloom lace, which had been worn by the brides sister, was held in place with a cap of lace with a tiara of seed pearls and orange blossoms. She carried a white Rainbow Bible topped with a white orchid. Streamers knotted with white rosebuds fell from the Bible. The maid of honor, Miss Jean Tritch, wore a gown of peach velvet made with an off the shoulder neckline and short puffed sleeves. She wore a matching toque of velvet and carried a colonial bouquet of blue baby mums. The bridesmaids, Miss Peggy Kalb, who wore royal blue velvet, and Miss Marie Haney and Miss Eleanor Long, who wore gowns of heavens blue, had matching toques and carried colonial bouquets of pink pompons. The flower girl, Diane Harsh, of Chicago, wore a gown of heaven blue made similar to the gowns of the bride's attendants. She wore a wrist corsage of mums. Paul Inbody, of this city, attended Sgt. Blosser, as the groomsman. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlor with Mrs. Hubert Gorsuch in charge of the serving. Mrs. Edwin Feagans, sister-in-law of the bride, served as mistress of the ceremonies and cut the wedding cake which was served by Miss Barbara Lehman, Miss Barbara Stoner, Mrs. Dean Pittman, Mrs. Glen Miller, and Mrs. Glen Susor, of Toledo, sister of the bride. Sgt. and Mrs. Blosser have left on a wedding trip to Silver Springs, Fla. For traveling the bride wore a two piece brown suit with a pink hat and blouse. Her accessories were of brown alligator. They will reside in Tampa, Fla., as Sgt. Blosser is stationed at McDill field. Both the bride and groom are graduates of Goshen high school and the groom attended Parks Air college in St. Louis, Mo. While in high school the bride served as one of the cheer leaders. Sgt. Blosser recently re-enlisted in the U. S. Army Air Force, after serving five years, two of which were spent overseas. Since her graduation from high school this year the bride had been employed in the office of the Mogul Rubber company. Wedding Party Entertained On Saturday evening members of the wedding party were entertained at dinner in Mapleview Inn by Mr. and Mrs. Edwin O. Feagans, the brother and sister-in-law of the bride. The table was centered with a tiered wedding cake topped by a bride and groom. Those present present were the Rev. and Mrs. Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Blosser, Mrs. Margaret Feagans, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Susor and Glen and Eddie Susor, Mr. and Mrs. Larue Stepp, Miss Peggy Kalb, Miss Jean Tritch, Miss Marie Haney, Miss Eleanor Long, Dianne Harsh, Paul Inbody, Robert Thomas, and Gregg Fausnaugh.

Mary Margaret Feagans Blosser

Mary Margaret was born 19 Feb. 1928 in Glenmont, Richland township, Holmes county, Ohio, the daughter of Edward Owen Feagans and Margaret Jane Butler. She spent most of her childhood in Curtice, Ottawa county, Ohio, outside of Toledo, Lucas county, Ohio. For her senior year the family moved to Goshen, Elkhart county, Indiana. She was a member of the Goshen High School Class of 1946, and a head cheerleader. On October 20, 1946 she was married to Harold Rumsey Blosser a member of the Army Air Force (later United States Air Force), a native of Goshen. She was an Air Force wife for 30 years, with Harold retiring in 1970. The family has since lived in Clearwater and Tarpon Springs, Florida. She was a secretary /receptionist for Dr. Sherman H Pace, in Clearwater for 25 years.

They moved 37 times while in the service. The lived in Japan (during occupation), and various states, including Florida (several times), Mississippi, Arizona, and Wyoming.

Three children were born from this marriage, James (Jimmy) Asher Blosser, Patricia Jean Blosser, and Mark Randolph Blosser. James died in 1955 while the family served in Japan. Patricia is living in north Georgia, and had two sons: Christopher Sean Blosser, and Babak Travis Lotfinia. Mark is still living in the family home in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Three great-grandchildren, whos father is Christopher, Kya, Gallinia, and Jacob Nathanial Blosser.

Predeceased by her husband Harold (1987), a sister, Leona Jean Feagans Susor (1977), and a brother Edwin Owen Feagans (1987).

Mary Margaret was quite a world traveler making it to over 20 countries on six continents.
