Nathan T. Kinyon was the son of Samuel Kinyon (Kenyon ID 1641) of Rhode Island. (American Kenyons, by Howard N. Kenyon, page 119.

Nathan was married to Anna Hall, daughter of Josiah Hall and Ruby Freeman. She died in 1842, while they were living in Humphrey, Cattaragus, New York.

His father, Samuel Kenyon, was living in South Kingstown near his brother Robert, in 1777. In 1790, Samuel was living in Argle, Washington County, New York.

In 1820, Nathan T. Kenyon is seen living in Otisco, Onondaga County, New York with three sons under the age of ten, born between 1810 and 1820. These three sons are Samuel D. Kinyon, born about 1812, Freeman Kinyon, born about 1816, and Josiah Kenyon, born 1819, all in Onondaga County, New York.

In 1840, Nathan T. Kinyon was living in Humphrey, Cattaraguas County, New York with his wife and young male, most likely his son Josiah.

Living next door was his son Freeman Kinyon with his wife. Also his son, Samuel D. Kinyon with his wife.

Living next door was another son, Freeman Kinyon and his wife Mary A and her mother, Mary Reynolds. His third son, Samuel D.Kenyon and his wife Clarissa and their son, Jeremiah are living in Humphrey, Cattaraugus County, New York.

Nathan's son Samuel died in 1856.

In 1860, Nathan is living in the household of his son, Josiah Kinyon and wife Arminda, in Humphrey, Cattaragus, New York.

By 1870, the family moved to Almer, Tuscola, Michigan, where Nathan is living in the household of his son Josiah and his wife Arminda. Joshiah is a farmer and holder of land.
