LOGNAND
"At seven o'clock Wednesday evening, the 24th inst., Mrs. Wid. George Lognand, née Marie Palmire Glandiere, died at the age of 86 years and 3 months.

Mrs. Lognand was a native of France, and resident of St. Martinville for over fifty years, and was one of our oldest citizens. She was sick for a long time, enfeebled by old age, and her death was not a surprise to her children and friends, she had lived the full time allotted to mankind, and the time for her return to her Maker had come, and death came to her as sleep of eternal peace.

Mrs. Lognand leaves several grown children to mourn her death. She was buried at 4:30 o'clock in the evening, Thursday, the 25th inst., her remains being followed to the grave by a large concourse of relatives and friends."
