Marilyn Kazimir Peckens, 88, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday Sept. 5, 2022, in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Marilyn was born May 14, 1934, in Columbus, OH, daughter of the late Fred and Clara (Clark) Riffle.

She was a homemaker and had previously worked at the former Verna's Dress Shop in Toronto.

Marilyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Toronto, the Mary Martha Sunday School Class, Faith Fellowship, and she served on the funeral dinner committee for years. Marilyn also formerly served as an EMT for TEMS, Inc. in Toronto.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph 'Babe' Kazimir in 1988; second husband, Wayne A. Peckens in 2003; son, Michiel Kazimir in 2017; grandson, Jonathan Suriano on Aug. 29, 2022; two infant sisters and three sisters, June, Betty, and Joan.

Surviving are her three daughters, Kathy (James) Rinaldo, and Vickie (Gary) Yarosz both of Toronto, and Ginny (Nino) Suriano of Wintersville, OH; sister, Carole Straub of Columbus, OH; two stepdaughters, Sandy Tharp of Richmond, OH, and Linda (Ed) Sninchak of NC; stepson, Wayne 'Pecky' (Vicki) Peckens of Mingo Jct, OH, and sister-in-law, Margaret (Joe) Clark of Jacksonville Beach, FL; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Saturday Sept. 10, 2022, from 10 am to 12 noon followed by her funeral service at noon at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Rev. Kevin Rinkes and Pastor Ron Dixon officiated, and burial followed in the Toronto Union Cemetery.
