OBITUARY: "GEORGE CHESSHIRE - [1939 written in] --- George M. CHESSHIRE, 84, last of a family of seven children, died at his home in Coin Thursday, October 26, of uremic poisoning, following a five weeks illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at the home in Coin, Rev. NESBITT, Methodist pastor at Coin, being in charge of the services. Burial was made at Union Grove cemetery west of Northboro.
Mr. Chesshire had spent his entire lifetime in Page county and for the past 37 years had lived in the Coin community. He was a member of the Methodist church at Coin for the past 37 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Emma CHESSHIRE, and son, Joe of Coin, three daughters, Mrs. Bertha DUTTON of Des Moines, Mrs. Lottie POLSLEY of Shenandoah and Mrs. A. W. LISTON of Audubon. In addition Mr. and Mrs. CHESSHIRE raised a lad, Paul HUMPHREY, now of Omaha, Nebr, from the age of three years to manhood. Nine grandchildren and three great- grandchildren survive."
