Rachel Brussie was born in 1747 and Christened on February 15, 1747 in the Reformed Church of Germantown, Columbia County, New York. Her parents were Gabriel Brussie and Jannetje Hollenbeck. Rachel married James Robison (son of John Robison and Janneke Oosterhout) on November 2, 1766 in Claverack, Columbia County, New York. She and James had 12 children named John, Jane, Nicholas, Jamaice, Gabriel, Andrew, Charles, Catherine, Elizabeth, Richard, Sarah,and Rachel. Rachel died on September 11, 1818 in Phelps, Ontario County, New York. Her husband died on June 02, 1791 from an accidental discharge of a gun while hunting pigeons with a friend, and he's buried at the Copake Flats Cemetery (Behind the United Methodist Church) in Copake,Columbia County, New York.
