Raymond Eugene (Gene) Clement, 89, resident of High Point, N.C., died on Monday, March 23, 2015, at Westchester Manor at Providence Place. Mr. Clement was born on August 15, 1925, in Roanoke, a son of Virginia Clement Reynolds and Clarence Jesse Clement of Roanoke, and the stepson of Ernest A. Reynolds of Roanoke. He was married to the late Ann Bell Clement of High Point, N.C.
Survivors include a son, Steven Craig Clement of High Point, N.C.; one brother, William Ernest Clement and wife, Lelia Ann, of Roanoke; three sisters, Betty C. Dickerson, Barbara Bush and husband Billy, Virginia C. Ham, all of Rocky Mount, and Sara C. Prillaman and husband, Donald, of Roanoke. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Maude W. Clement, wife of the late C. J. (Jack) Clement, of Vinton, Dorla Bell McKenzie of High Point, N.C., and many nieces; and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point with the Reverend Mark Loy officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
