OGDEN--John "Cap" Sandlin Akemon, 66, passed away on February 25, 2015 at his home of a heart attack.
He was born on April 19, 1948 in Welch, West Virginia, a son of Ernest Dean and Edith Ellen Marrs Akemon.
He attended high school in San Jose, California. He loved to surf, camp, and was a big time fisherman.
Surviving are his three children, his mother, and three siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT. Friends may call on Monday at the funeral chapel from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment will be in the Bothwell Cemetery.
