Mother (Montry) was born in Cokeville, Wyoming on May 30, 1922, a daughter of George Montreville and Anna Bertha Schneider Russell. She was the youngest of a family of six girls. She grew up in the Cokeville area and never left that area until she got married. She enjoyed ice skating on the Bear River. Since her mother passed away while she was still quite young she spent a lot of time doing house work at home and helping her father who owned a cafe in town. She enjoyed spending time in the mountains and fishing. There were very few times that we went fishing that she wasn't along. Mother worked side by side with dad in the store. She spends a lot of her time filling in while dad drove to Ogden to pick up supplies to run the store. It took a lot of effort on her part to take care of four kids and help at the store. She was also involved in teaching at various jobs in the primary program at church. Her and dad were very much involved in the church dance program on the ward and stake level.
