Eva Inez Hooe Carr, 89, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015, with family at her side.
Eva was born March 13, 1926, in Wardville, Okla., to Robert Earl and Sarah Ollie Dennis Hooe. She was the third of 10 children. She moved to Fort Worth in 1950 and went to work for General Dynamics.
She married Robert "Bob" Carr of Fort Worth on Aug. 14, 1954. They had three children. In 1972, after leaving General Dynamics, Eva and Bob opened Bob's Printing in Hurst. In 1985, they sold the shop and retired. Eva enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading and baking. She preferred baking to cooking everyday meals, but was an excellent cook. She didn't turn down chances to go out to eat though.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 58 years, Bob Carr; her parents, Earl and Ollie Hooe; sisters, Naomi Pemberton and Ruby Williams; brothers, R.E. Hooe and Cleve Hooe; sister-in-law, Jeraldine Hooe; brothers-in-law, Ray Williams, Joe Carr and Harold Pemberton; and daughter-in-law, Imelda Carr.
Survivors: Children, Donna Jett and husband, Mike, of Weatherford, Debra Kelly and husband, James, of Hurst, David Carr of the Philippines; grandchildren, Christine Clark of North Richland Hills, Robert Carr and wife, Amy, stationed in South Korea, and Shawn Carr of San Antonio; sisters, Elizabeth Carr of Birmingham, Ala., Jean Ann Loftin and husband, Lamar, of Bedford, Mary Katherine Hooe of Wardville, Okla., Margaret Daniel and husband, Bill, of Wolfe City; brother, Paul Hooe of Coalgate, Okla.; sisters-in-law, Joy Hooe of Kiowa, Okla., and Joyce Hooe of Wolfe City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
