LYLE -- The funeral for Glenn A. Martin will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Friendship Village retirement community in Bloomington. Burial will be in the Six Mile Grove Church cemetery near Lyle.

Mr. Martin, 89, of Edina, formerly of Lyle, died Thursday (May 25, 2006) at Friendship Village.
He was born May 15, 1917, in Lyle. He married Mildred Zwernaman on Nov. 30, 1941, in Lyle. He was a graduate of St. Olaf College and served in the Air Force during World War II. He worked for John Deere and Co. for 42 years.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lynn (Gary) Moss; a son, Glenn "Andy" (Norma) Martin; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy (George) Otis. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Memorials are preferred to the Friendship Village LCRC Fund.
