Funeral Services for Darwin Wray Burch, 75, will be at 2:00pm Monday at College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson,pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mr. burch died at 7:01 am Friday August12, 2005, in Covenant Hospital in Plainview. He was born Nov. 20, 1929 in Butler, Oklahoma and moved to Plainview at age 13. He worked as a trucker for Hale County Sand and Gravel,security at Walmart Distribution Center, and as a deliveryman for Teague Pharmacy. He was active in the Hale County Senior Citizens Center and was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.He married Dorothy Jean Herion in Odessa in May of 1949. She died in April 1986. He then married Aliene Arney Dowdy on June 20, 1987 in Plainview. He is survived byhis wife, two daughters, a son, three step sons,a step daughter, two sisters, a sister-in-law, 15 grandchildren,and 11 great- grandchildren.His parents Alfred and Carmie Burch are deceased as well as two brothers. Family suggest memorials be to Area Community Hospice, the Leukemia Foundation or College Heights Baptist Church.
