JORDAN | Robert E. Aull Sr., 87, of Jordan, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at home with his grandson, Eric; nephew, Raymond, and friends at his side.
Bob was born in Nyack, N.Y., the son of Gustavus and Grace Adams Aull. A month after he turned 18, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific Theater during the waning days of the World War II. He received the Asiatic Pacific Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, American Theatre Medal, and the Victory Medal. In 1948, he again enlisted to serve his country, this time in the U.S. Air Force and served four years before being honorably discharged in 1952.
Bob was a member of the Camillus Elks Lodge and the Tappan Zee Masonic Lodge. For many years Bob owned and managed REA Builders.
Surviving is his son, Robert E. Aull Jr., of Auburn; grandson, Eric Aull, of Jordan; nephew, Raymond Aull, and niece, Carol Peterson.
Friends are invited to call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct 12 at the Bush Funeral Home, 120 E. Main St. (Route 5), Elbridge. Graveside services with military honors will be in Rockland Cemetery, Nyack.
