Alicia Sophronia WOODS - was born the Fifth daughter of: "Montraville Woods" and his wife, "Maria Isabella De Jesus Hidalgo (Gonzales) Woods" and was the grand daughter of: "Zadock Woods" and his wife, "Minerva Jane (COTTLE) Woods" and of: Spanish Dignitary "Don Francisco Hidalgo Gonzales" and his wife, "Dona Procopia Hidalgo (Valdes) Gonzales" -=- "William Patrick Milligan" was married to "Sophronia's" oldest sister "Mary (Woods) Milligan" some time after (William & Mary's), youngest son "Clayborn Matt Milligan" was born - "William" & "Sophronia" ran off together to have a family of their own - while "William" was still married to "Mary Milligan"!! - "William" & "Sophronia" had Three Children, buy the time - "Sophronia Woods", married "William Patrick Milligan" on 30 Aug. 1873 - but, on the Texas Certificate of Marriage "William" changed and signed His Name as "W.P. MILLIGIN". - They had at least (5) children (Malory Woods, Helen Sophronia, Alsa Madora, Isabelle Sophronia and Edward Morales Milligin) and so, they raised their (5) children with the LAST NAME spelled as "MILLIGIN".
NOTE: "William" & "Sophronia" did not get married until just after "Mary (Woods) Milligan" had past away!!

* Mrs. Saffronia Milligan's - Funeral Held Tuesday.
* The Funeral of Mrs. Saffronia Milligan - was held from the home of R.D. Sessom, last Tuesday afternoon.
* Mrs. Milligan had resided in Clifton for the last 5 years and was 83 years of age.
* She is survived by Three Daughters: Miss Helen Tomerlin - Mrs. Bullard - Mrs. R.D. Sessom and Two sons: Ed and Mal Milligan.
* Mrs. Milligan, was born in Texas in 1838.
* She came to Deming, N.M. in 1884 - where she lived a number of years and finally moved to Clifton in 1916.
* Rev. Rosco Stapp, of the Baptist Church - had charge of the funeral services.
