Daughter of Thomas R. Brooks and Roxanna Shannon. Wife of Wm. M. Brooks, Wm. J. Rodgers and George Blue.

She was a Spiritualist. Was listed as an Evangelist in the Iowa city directory. She was always out doing this and leaving her daughter Grace to do a lot of the housework. In every census she got younger, but, I am not holding that against her!

Mrs. Isola Blue Called By Death

Following an illness of about five weeks, death came to the relief of Mrs. Isola Blue, a long time resident of Arapahoe, early last Tuesday morning.

Mrs. Blue has been in poor health for a number of years, but a recent attack of influenza and resultant complications caused her death rather suddenly and unexpectedly. Mrs. Otto Roberts, a daughter of the deceased has been caring for Mrs. Blue at her home in Arapahoe for several years past.

Mrs. Blue was 88 years old. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the home of W. V. Andrews, local funeral director, and interment was in the Arapahoe cemetery.

*Daughter Minnie in that second obituary?? I know the family liked to have many names, and I do recall my mother saying her grandma may have had a third name, I had never heard my great grandmother called that however. Might be an error. Might not be, maybe Isola called her that.

Please, Be aware there is a problem with this cemetery's records!

I tried to get a picture of this grandmother's grave and they told me she was not there. I knew she was because I still had living family that attended the funeral and well - the obituary. It was finally decided she must be in an unmarked grave next to my great grandmother.
