Obituary for Dale S. Aaron

Dale Sheridan Aaron went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, March 29, 2015. Dale was born on January 5, 1933 in Lowell, AR. He graduated from Cassville High School in Cassville, MO where his parents, Elry and Jewell Aaron, owned a feed.store. It was while living there that Dale met the love of his life, Bonnie June Lauderdale, on a blind date.Dale and his best friend, Wayne Smithson, soon enlisted in the Navy. Following boot camp in San Diego, Dale returned to Cassville to marry Bonnie on May 16, 1953. After completing his enlistment, they moved to Tulsa and raised five children; Dale Max, Pamela, Dennis, Alan and David.Dale worked at Carnation Milk Company, Washington National Insurance Company and was a District Manager for the Newspaper Printing Corp. Dale retired from OK Fireworks after having served many years as their Field Operations Manager.Dale was a charter member of Metro Faith Christian Church (now Woodland Christian Church) where he served as an Elder since 1993. He was a quiet, humble and caring leader for the church serving many terms, several consecutively, as Chairman of the Board of Elders. In February, Dale was awarded the position of Elder Emeritus.He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jack, sisters Anna Marie, Louise and Francis. Survived by his wife and children, brothers Philip and Larry, eight grand children and three great grandchildren. His family and many friends will miss him greatly but look forward to our great reunion.His family would like to acknowledge and thank Dale’s many caregivers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodland Christian Church Missions Fund or to Clare House.Services will be held on Thursday, April 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at Woodland Christian Church with interment following at Floral Haven. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 1st. Services are under the direction of Floral Haven Funeral Home.
