Leonard Merritt Allen, 67, of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Gibson City, died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday March 22, 2015, at the Apex Nursing Center in Boise.

Lenny was born Nov. 1, 1947 in Gibson City, a son of Eugene and Millie Scott Allen.

He married Serita Knell in 1969 and had two daughters, Tracey Lynn Allen (Steve) Fisher and Amy Sue (Jason) Jolley.

He later married Kathy Pearson in 1979, and had a daughter, Joanie Marie Tomlinson (John) Davis.

He was later married to Kathleen Steele for 28 years. She survives.

Also surviving are two sisters, Beverly (Jack) Fields and Kathy (Bill) Rutledge; three brothers, Kenny (Bonnie) Allen, Gary (Lynn) Allen and Kelley (Robbie Lee) Allen; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Allen.

Lenny was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1968–1969.
