"Two persons were killed and at least three others were injured, one seriously in traffic accidents in the Belleville area during the weekend.

"A head-on collision on a narrow rural road at 8 o'clock last night took the lives of a young couple, critically injured another man near Breese. The dead were Ralph Diekmann, 24, of Carlyle, driver of one of the automobiles and Miss Anita Rensing, 17, of Trenton a passenger in Diekmann car.

"In serious condition today at St. Joseph's hospital, Breese is Henry Linnemann, Jr., 26, of Germantown who was alone in the second vehicle.

"The crash occured on St. Rose road which is paved with only one slab of concrete, 1-1/2 miles north of State Route 50.

"State Police said both drivers were on the west side of the road and at the same time swerved to the east side. Dickmann was heading south, Linnemann north.
