Death came suddenly to Ernest F. Bandhold of 19 Hulbert Avenue on Friday, October 6, 1939. Mr. Bandhold was a well known citizen of Fairport and his sudden death was a shock to his many friends. He was in fairly good health, but suffered a heart attack while working at the home of his sister, Mrs. John Dickinson, in Shortsville.

He was born in Brighton November 27, 1882, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Bandhold, of this village. Most of his life was spent in Fairport and vicinity. In March, 1905, he married the wife who survives him, Anna Schumacher.

Mr. Bandhold was a carpenter and made quite a reputation for himself in that field. He was a member of the Bethlehem Evangelican Lutheran church, in which he was very active.

Besides his wife, Anna, he leaves two daughters, Edith, of Fairport; Mrs. Lawrence Mosher, of Rochester; three sisters, Mrs. Richard Bosma, East Rochester; Mrs. John Dickinson, Shortsville; Mrs. John Schumacher, Penfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held from the home, Monday at 3:00 p. m., and at 3:15 o'clock from the Bethlehem Lutheran church, Rev. Claude E. Tejan, officiating. Interment was made in Pittsford cemetery.
Buried October 9, 1939.
