Louis Ritzenthaler was married twice:

1. Gertrude Esther Donica, Feb. 10, 1912, Bartholomew Co., Indiana

They were parents of two sons, John and Robert Ritzenthaler.

Louis and Gertrude divorced about 1934.

Louis A. Ritzenthaler, of Argos, former Columbus resident and brother of Edward Ritzenthaler of Columbus, died at 8:30 o'clock Sunday night at Parkview hospital at Plymouth following a 2year illness. Mr. Ritzenthaler, 66, was taken to the hospital Saturday.


He was born June 13, 1891, in Columbus. He lived in Bourbon for 10 years before going to Argos where he resided at 301 West South street three and one-half years.


In 1937 he married Maris Toliver in Columbus and she survives. He was the son of John and Caroline Ritzenthaler and was a retired mechanic and molder. He was last employed with the Ritz Craft Trailer company in Argos and was a member of the local Red Men's lodge.


Other survivors are two sons, Robert L. Ritzenthaler of Bourbon and John A. Ritzenthaler of Plymouth; a stepson; Marion Toliver of Seattle, Wash., and seven grandchildren.


Funeral will be at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at the Grossman funeral home in Argos, conducted by the Rev. Paul Halbert. The casket will be open at the funeral home after 7 o'clock tonight. Graveside services will be conducted at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Garland Brook cemetery. The casket will be open at the grave.
