Beatrice Eleanor Louise (Burbidge) Cavana was born to Charles James Stewart Burbridge and Laura Mae (Maclachlan) Burbridge on Feb. 21, 1914, in Hardisty, Alberta, Canada.
In 1923, her family moved from Canada to Santa Monica, Calif. Beatrice retired in 1971 after 35 years in civil service starting her career with the U.S. Army Air Corp. in Long Beach, Calif., and ending at Travis AFB Fairfield, Calif. After retiring, Beatirce spent many happy years in Fairfield, Clearlake and Rio Vista.
Beatrice is survived by her son, James V. Cupp; daughter, Katheleen M. Saltonstall Hudson; daughter-in-law Margie Cupp; sister-in-law Geri Burbridge; grandsons, David Cupp, John (Kim) Cupp, Shae (Jennifer) Hudson; and all of her great- and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and great-nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lyle Burbridge; husbands, Elon J. Saltonstall Sr., Daniel Cavana; son, William C. Cupp; daughter-in-law, Mertyle Cupp.
