North Africa and Italy. In 1945, Ed married lovely Rowene Bird. Always one to do what he loved, Ed bought Starlite Lanes in Blackfoot, ID and soon he became a contractor and architect in Blackfoot.

Ed's surviving children reflect their father's interests: Carol E. Ereckson of Stansbury Park, UT writes, Dr. E. Marlowe Goble of Logan, UT in sports, Douglas Goble of Palisades, ID as outdoorsman, and Dr. Deserae Goble of Logan sings.
