Virginia Kathryn Enochs went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 9:55 pm. Her visitation is Monday, March 30, 2015, 6-8 pm at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home, 12649 Lake June Rd., Mesquite, TX, and her service is at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Mesquite Church of Christ, 400 W. Davis, Mesquite, TX. The interment is at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park. Kathryn was married to Billy R. Enochs on May 26, 1947 in Sherman, Texas. They were blessed with 5 children. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years; father, Melvin Petty; mother, Vera Petty; sisters, Lois Penn and Charlene Hendricks; and brother, Charles Petty. She is survived by her children Linda Orr of Mesquite; Brenda Whittle and husband, Gary of Glen Rose; Marcia Wickersham of Mesquite; Gary Enochs and wife, Kathy of Mesquite; and Mike Enochs and wife, Sherry of Forney. Her twelve surviving grandchildren are Joel Orr, Kathryn Butler Parker, Emily Orr Prater, Benjamin Enochs, Amber Wickersham Tipton, Zachery Enochs, Brooke Wickersham Blundell, Bobbie Dean, Ashley Enochs Vandiver, Megan Enochs Hankins, Lindsey Enochs Teague and Denver Enochs. Sister, Mary Lee McNeal; brother, Jeral Petty and wife, Lois; and sister-in-law Virginia Petty. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. She was a member of the Mesquite Church of Christ for 62 years where she was a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher for many of the 62. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mesquite Church of Christ.
