Samuel Odell Neely was born on June 26, 1884 in Rutherford County, Tennessee, the son of Samuel Houston "Sam" Neely (1852-1928) and Mary J "Mollie" (Walsh) Neely. [His parents were married on September 1, 1880 in Rutherford County.]
He was married to Mamie P Lyons (1885-1953), the daughter of Richard H Lyons and Ellen (Corley) Lyons.
An automobile painter in an auto body plant and living at 1904 10th Avenue North, Nashville, he was 56 years old and married when he died at home on April 27, 1941 of a cerebral hemorrhage. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison.
