Arthur C. Gall Feb. 9, 1929 - Mar. 11, 2015 NORTH LIBERTY - Arthur C. Gall, 86, of North Liberty passed away on Wednesday, March 11th at 7:45 PM at Miller's Merry Manor in Walkerton, IN. He was born on February 9th, 1929 in Lakeville, IN to Ralph and Evelyn (Springman) Gall. Arthur worked in the construction field as a Union Cement Mason. On May 27, 1950 in Mishawaka, IN he married the former Fay A. Burroughs, who preceded him in death on July 15, 2014. Arthur is survived by one daughter; Brenda S. (Mike) Newcomer of Plymouth, IN, one sister; Norma Dyer of South Bend, two grandchildren; Melissa (Philip) Lynn of Jimtown, IN, and Rebecca (David) Connell of Elmhurst, IL, and four great grandchildren. Arthur was preceded in death by his loving wife Fay, two sisters; Ilene Borror and Betty Boyer, and one brother; Ralph Gall. Arthur was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in WWII. He was the Post Commander for several years and a Service Officer for over 30 years at the American Legion Post 365 in North Liberty, a member of Cement and Plasters Union Local 101, and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He also enjoyed music, playing the banjo, camping, golfing, fishing, and playing cards. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 15th from 2:00 PM 6:00 PM at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home "Walkerton Chapel" located at 1216 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton, IN. Services will be Monday, March 16th at 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, located at 24955 Riley Road, North Liberty 46554 with Pastor Vicky Blough officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial is to follow at Westlawn Cemetery in North Liberty. He will be dearly missed by his loving daughter and her family, his church family, numerous Veterans, and many friends he made during his life journey. The family requests all memorial contributions be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, located at 24955 Riley Road, North Liberty 46554.
