He was born August 19, 1919, in Winamac, IN, to Theodore and Mary Dressler Podell. Lowell was married on June 6, 1942, in Hammond, IN, to Helen F. Timm. Helen passed away December 1, 2008.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Denham, where he had served as an Elder.
Lowell was a retired farmer and had lived his entire life on the family farm. He enjoyed gardening and was always sharing his watermelons with the neighbors. He loved to take fishing trips to Canada with his family.
He was a former 4-H Leader and former member of the Pulaski County Fair Board.
Lowell loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
