PLAN RITES FOR PFC PAUL COX
WALDRON SOLDIER KILLED IN EUROPEAN THEATRE

Word has been received that the body of PFC Paul C Cox, 31, of Waldron, who was killed in the European theatre Feb 24, 1945, will arrive at Greensburg at 3:32 p.m. today.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Waldron Baptist church with the Rev Park Rushford officiating. Burial will be in the Lewis Creek Baptist cemetery.

The body will be taken to the Cox home in Waldron where friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday.

PFC Cox was born March 5, 1914, in Orange county, the son of Charles C and Bertha J Milbourn Cox. He was married to Theresa Roberts Sept 22, 1940. He was a member of the Waldron Baptist church.

He had entered military service in December, 1943, going overseas in August, 1944. He served in the infantry.

Surviving are his wife; two children, Wayne Paul and Halcia; his parents, Mr and Mrs Charles Cox; four brothers, raleigh, George, Frank, all of Waldron, Denton, of Delphi; four sisters, Mrs Helen Sherfick, of Bedford, Mrs Jessie Gehm, of Palmyra, Mrs Ethel Weathers, of Salem, and Mrs Mary Marsh, of Carthage.
