Rita M. Folk, 92, of Hicksville, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Hickory Creek, Hicksville, Ohio.

Born on January 9, 1923 in Paulding County, Ohio, Rita was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Hoschak) Burns.

Rita was a graduate of Paulding High School, Paulding, Ohio. She was retired from Dana Weatherhead Corporation. On May 6, 1946, she was united in marriage with Richard Folk and he preceded her in death in December, 2006.

She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Hicksville, a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary #5087 of Antwerp, Ohio and a past member of Bryan Eagles Auxiliary #2233.

Rita is survived by two daughters, Julie Tishhouse of Bryan, Ohio, Vicki Thompson of Henderson, Nevada; four grandchildren; (14) great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Loretta Bond of Perrysburg, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Harold, Richard, Walter Leroy, Edward Burns; Agnus Winterhalter, Cathrine Williamson and Mary Ellen Mossing.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:30 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Hicksville with Fr. Dave Cirata officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:00, at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville.

Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.

Memorials may be made to St. Michaels Catholic Church or OSU Alzheimer’s Research Center.
