Mrs. Mettie Mae Caldwell Whittaker, 87, of Victoria, Va., formerly of Princeton, died Saturday at her home following an apparent heart attack. She was a member of the Victoria Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Arthur M. Whitaker of Victoria; four sons, Darrell W. Whittaker of Indialantic, Fla., Mack Whittaker of Victoria, Arthur Whittaker of Roanoke, Va., and Richard A. Whittaker of Albuquerque, N.M. ; one daughter, Mrs. Mettie W. Barnes of Richmond, Va; four sisters, Mrs. Julia Ball of Pineville, Mrs. Lillie Cahill of Princeton, Mrs. Gertrude Caldwell of Princeton and Mrs. Gussie Whittaker of Roanoke; 18 grandchildren, 22 greatgrandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at the Staples Funeral Home Chapel in Victoria with burial to follow in the Lakeview Cemetery.
