Mr. Harvey L. Barfield, Scranton. SC, husband of the late Louise Miles Barfield, died Friday, March 16, 2018, at home after an illness. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Hicks Cemetery, Coward. The family will recieve friends from 2:00-3:00 PM, Sunday, March 18, 2018, at the funeral home prior to funeral services. Mr. Barfield was born December 23, 1932 in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Jackson Harvey Barfield and Ida Mae Dennis Barfield. He was a member of Coward Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Barfield was a retired farmer and had previously worked for Daniel Construction Company of Florence, and enjoyed fishing. Surviving is a daughter, two grandsons and a sister. Mr. Barfield was preceded in death by sisters Mary B. matthews and Martha B. Benton; and brother Charlie Barfield.
