He was raised in Joliet and a 1985 graduate of Joliet Central High School. A United States Marine Corp Veteran who proudly served, being honorably discharged in 1994 after over 9 years of dedicated service.
Kevin was a hard working individual who held various jobs throughout his life, sometimes juggling two or three at once. He always did what it took to get the job done. His favorite pastime was riding his treasured 1977 Harley Sportster. He was looking forward to the weather breaking to hit the open road.
He was a member of the Marine Corp League and the Belmont A.C., was well known among all the biker communities.
Kevin was the beloved husband of Cindy (nee Ariagno) Ridge; also surviving are children, Dale and Kristin Barnhardt, Caitlin and Brandi Ridge, Jordan and Kevin Ridge, Jr., Kyle, Jerry (deceased), Alise, Starr and Joey, as well as several grandchildren. Fond brother of Karen Ridge and many siblings. In addition, other survivors include many friends he considered brothers, including Al Smith, Jr. and Eagle Bob Coote; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; Marine Corp comrades; and brothers and sisters from the biker community.
Visitation Sunday, 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Services: Monday, March 30, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet.
Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
