Composer. He was born in Ajofrín (Toledo). At young age, he composed "Salve a Cuatro Voces." Later, he moved to Madrid and studied violin in the Conservatory. Soon, he triumphed as zarzulelas composer, specially "Los Gavilanes," "El Huésped del Sevillano" and "La Rosa del Azafrán," that become very populars. Other of his works include "La Alsaciana," "El Sobre Verde" and "La Blanca Doble." He died in Madrid during a surgery.
