On Nov. 24, 1642 of record at Dedham, Mass., Henry m. Mary Metcalf, 2nd born and eldest surviving child of Michael Metcalf and Sarah Elwyn. Mary was b. Feb. 14 (bapt. Feb. 17 at St. Bartholomew), 1618/9 at Norwich, England and d. May 5, 1676 at Dedham, Mass. They had five children recorded at Dedham who are listed in Mary's memorial.
Henry first appears in the early Dedham Town records on "the 23th: of ye 4th: Month called June" 1640 when he and Samuel Bullen were "to haue that pcel1 of Land wch lyeth in ye Corner beneeth & next vnto mr DeEnganes Lott to be devided betwixt them." But "Henry Wilson is content to lay downe this grant so he may be puided for els where." This desire was accommodated on Sept. 7, 1640 when "Edward Alleyn hath given vnto Henry Wilson a smale pcell of land to sett an house vpon beyond ye Lott of Wm. Bullard towards the North." He subsequently was granted small parcels of meadow and other dividend land within the town and until his death appears in the town's annual grand tax lists.
Henry Wilson and wife Mary Metcalf are undoubtedly buried at Dedham's Old Village cemetery. Unfortunately, their gravestones, if they had one, have not survived.
