Services for Richard L. Faulkner, of Davenport, will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 4th, 2010 at the Christian Center Church, 2103 W. 3rd. St., Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 3rd at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. Mr. Faulkner died Sunday, May. 30, 2010, at Trinity at Terrace Park, after an extended illness.
Richard Leroy was born August 13, 1930, in Port Andrews, Wisconsin to John and Mildred (Cramblett) Faulkner. He married Lucille Parks on Feb. 20, 1954. She preceded him in death on October 31, 1999. Richard proudly served our country during the Korean War in U.S. Army. He was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1995.
Memorials may be made to Christian Center Church, Davenport.
Survivors include his children; a son, Bruce Faulkner, two daughters, Tammy Faulkner, and Sudie Faulkner all of Davenport; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous other extended family. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Ann Faulkner; his parents; and two sisters.
