Born in New Jersey, he moved to Akron, Ohio and found a job working in a rubber factory, Goodyear. He married Clara McCamey Roberts and had a son, Thomas Parks, Jr.
He also helped raise his step children, Bob and Madeline Roberts.

He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber co. four years ago with 32 years of service. Born in Emily Town, N.J. (Elizabethtown?) he was an Arkon redident for 41 years. He was a veteran of the Spanish -American War.
Mr. Parks leaves his Wife Clara B. McCamey Parks, a son, Thomas H. Jr., a stepson Joseph Roberts all of Akron; six grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Christian Science services will be at 1 P.M. Wednesday in the Billow Chapel, with Herbert Wright as reader.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends m call at the chapel after 4:30 p. m. Tuesday.
