Willard Clifford Barker, 74, of Friendship Manor, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 1993. He wasformerly of Botetourt County. He was predeceased by his wife, Bessie Irene Neeley Barker, parents, David Bailey and Myrtle Jane Boardwine Barker, brothers, Claude H. Jessie, Lish, and Vernon Barker. He was a World War II veteran having served in the South Pacific and Japan, retired from Lone Star Cement Co. and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Marie Barker of Virginia Beach; daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy B. and Jimmy Adkins of Roanoke, Laura B. and Robert Dolinger of Daleville; grandchildren, David Barker, Kim Adkins, Sandi Neuhs and Kenneth Dolinger; brothers, Dave Barker of Dillwyn, Fred Barker of Palmyra; sisters, Stella Barker of Bristol, Tenn., Lolean Grubbs of Sandston and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15, 1993 at 2 p.m. in Mill Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Neal officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors performed by VFW Post 1841 and VFW Post 1264. Those wishing to make a contribution please consider the Mill Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, Lee Highway North, Fincastle, Va. 24090. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, Troutville.
