Clyde Joseph Martin, formerly of Pauls Valley, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at his home in Antlers, Okla., at 60 years of age.
Clyde was born June 18, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Joe and Iona Martin. Both parents preceeded him in death. He was also preceeded in death by one grandchild of Oklahoma City.
Clyde was a resident of Pauls Valley for several years.
He is survived by his wife Diaina Martin of the home. They were married Novermber 2, 1990.
He is survived by 2 sons: Christopher Scott Martin of Montana, and Joe Bob Martin of Oklahoma City; 2 daughters: Neva Marie of Oklahoma City, and Connley Shea of El Reno, Okla.
Clyde also leaves behind 2 stepdaughters: Misty Dawn Bryant of Antlers and Casandra Marie Clunk of Tulsa, and 15 grandchildren.
Clyde is also survived by 3 brothers: Pat Martin of Maysville, Okla., Ronnie Martin and his wife Gayle of Purcell, and Dave Martin and his wife Trisha of Pauls Valley; and one sister, JoEllen Hervey and her husband Jerry of Pauls Valley
Clyde leaves behind many good memories for his family and friends. He was in poor health for a long time but he always kept a positive attitude and always had a smile. He had a big heart and he loved people. He was loved and will be missed by all his family and friends.
He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 23, 2010. He loved to talk to others about his love for the Bible and its hope for mankind. He definitely had the resurrection hope. Revelation21:3-4 was one of his favorite scriptures.
