Retired Deputy County Clerk of Bexar County.

Son of Antonia Salinas and Agustin Barrera. Agustin was a Mexican Governor of Texas, who was sacked by General Santa Ana for being too accommodating to the Colonists of Texas.

Husband of Julia Cadena Barrera.

Father of: Juan E, Eduardo (Edward), Alejandro, Maria, Margarita, Matilde, Elvira, and Agustin.

Died at 80 years from Angina Pectoris.
