Funeral Services Held for Kenneth Whiteley at Healdton, Okla.

Whiteley was born January 21*, 1921, in Newcastle. He married Anna Lou West in Graham, Nov. 4, 1942 and had lived in Ardmore the past 4 1/2 years.

Kenneth, World War II veteran, attended Newcastle High School, entered the Army in 1942, trained at Fort Russel, Texas, served in North Africa and Italy. Awarded Purple Heart, three battle stars, GCM, Criox De Guerre from French Army, Legion of Merit, and AP Ribbon. Wounded in Italy in 1944. Discharged in 1945.

Survivors include one daughter, Kenna Lou, 7; his mother, Mrs. Edgar Whiteley, Newcastle; five brothers, Loyd**, Newcastle; Harold, Odessa; Wallace, Bowie; Biffell, Dallas; Jerry, Newcastle; three sisters, Mrs. L. D. Thompson, Newcastle; Mrs. O. C. Manuel and Mrs. W. H. Manuel, Elbert. Mrs. L. J. Bramlet, an aunt, of Ardmore, and John E. Cranford and Mrs. Bessie Beard, cousins, also of Ardmore.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 p. m. in Healdton, Oklahoma, Methodist Church with Rev. W. W. McConnell officiating. Burial was in Mount Olive Cemetery at Healdton beside his wife and son.

The Register joins the many friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved.
