Parents: Eber Caleb Allen (son of Woodard Allen and Harriett Wells) was born 06 Jun 1853 in Spartanburg county SC, and died 27 Jun 1931 in Spartanburg county SC.He married Lucy Caroline Russell on 1873 in Williamson County, Texas. Lucy was the daughter of George Daniel Russell, who moved his family to Texas in 1870.

W Allen, Ex-Executive, Appleton, Dies

Appleton, March 26 - Woodward Allen, 67, of Boston and Appleton, died suddenly Wednesday at his country home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon from the home here by the Rev Milton G Crum. Burial will be in Swallow Savannah Cemetery near Allendale.

Mr Allen was graduated from Clemson College in 1910 and served as major in world War I. For 28 years he was New England sales manager of Allied Chemical and Dye Corporation with headquarters in Boston, was a life member of the Masonic order, member of the Boston Athletic Club and the Belmont Springs Country Club of Boston.

He was a son of the late Eber Caleb and Lucy Caroline Russell Allen of Cedar Springs.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs Frances Everett Allen of Boston and Appleton; one daughter, Mrs Pelham L Felder III of El Paso, Texas; one son, Woodward Allen, Jr, of Noblesville, Indiana; two sisters, Mrs Ben Maynard of Florence, and Mrs W A B Smith of Pauline; one brother, Edward Allen of Orlando, Florida.
