Barbara Ann (Goff) Boles

Mrs. Barbara Ann Boles, 55, passed away suddenly on April 19, 2007, at her residence. She was born on July 5, 1951, to Sue and Albert G. (Big Boy) Murphy in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was a member of the Hot Springs High School’s graduating class of 1969. Barbara was a long time member and past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star National Park chapter. Barbara was a resident of Galveston for more than 22 years.

On April 1, 2001, Barbara married Ronald Eugene Boles, after being a couple for the previous 15 years. While living in Galveston, she worked at Ramada Inn (now the Best Western Beach Front) as Front Desk Manager, Galveston Family Service Center as Office Manager, and Remax Galveston as Office/Rental Manager and then as a Sales Agent. She was a past member of the Galveston Association of Realtors, but above all she was a loving wife, mother, and a wonderful grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Eugene Boles; her daughter, Gretchen Goff Rodriguez and husband, Isaac; three grandchildren, Douglas Geters, V, Bianca, and Isaac Rodriguez, Jr.; mother-in-law, Margaret Hermann Boles, all of Galveston; sisters, Sarnia Minton and husband, Fred, of Murfreeboro, Arkansas; Alberta Terrell and husband, Jim, of Grandbury, Texas; Diana Willbanks and husband, James, of Leavenworth, Kansas; Judy Wiest and husband, Les, of Branson, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; and a large family of good and loyal friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Pinard officiating. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jay Hicks, Tim Minton, Bob Peebler, Mark Peebler, Isaac Rodriguez, and Rob Trammell. Honorary pallbearers will be Douglas Geters, V, John Anges, and Mike Hartnett.

The family would like to thank Dr. Mary Jo Godinich and staff for her excellent care and compassion during the years.
