Mrs. Max Zagelmeyer, nee Adeline Myers, was born near Shepherd in May 1865 on the farm now owned by Andrew Brickner. Her parents were Joseph and Margret Myers. She passed away Sunday morning after an illness of nearly a year. She was married in 1886 to Max Zagelmeyer, they have since made their home here with the exception of four years they homesteaded in the Upper Peninsula.

Surviving are the husband and two children, Gladys Gotcheff and Glen, both of Detroit. Brothers and sisters now living are; Mrs. E.C. Wilson of Santa Ana, California; Mary Rivetts, Mrs. Geo, Vredenburg and Mrs. C. Myers(This would have to be Sarah?-kg) of Shepherd; Ralph Myers of Long Beach, California; Grant Myers of Cheney, Washington; Mrs Martha Walker of Cadillac; and Mrs. Burton Allen of Clare.

Mrs. Zagelmeyer was lovingly and tenderly cared for by her daughter Gladys, who came from Detroit as soon as word reached her she was stricken.

Funeral services were held at two o'clock on Tuesday afternoon at the Rasa Funeral Home, Rev. W.B.Phillips officiating burial at Salt River Cemetery.
