Funeral services for Mrs. Vallie Armstrong Jenkins, 89, of Lexington were held Tuesday, September 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington with burial at 2:30 p.m. in Moorhead Cemetery in Moorhead. Rev. Michael O’Brien, pastor of First Baptist Church in Lexington, was the officiating minister.
Mrs. Jenkins, widow of Albert L. Jenkins, was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington. She died Saturday, September 7 at Lexington Manor. She was a native of Attala County.
She is survived by a niece, Celeste A. Ellis of Madison.
Pallbearers were Kent Ellis, Noel Ellis, Melvin Grantham, R.S. Richmond, Calvin Moore, and Mack Grantham.
