In the 1900 U.S. Census, grocery dealer James Brewster, 59, born November 1841 in Canada, parents born Canada, was living on Water Street in Eastport, Maine, with Addie L., 63, born July, 1837 in Maine, father born Maine, mother born NH.
The couple had been married for 35 years, and Addie had borne no children.
James moved to the U.S. in 1847.

Addie isn't listed with the rest of the Brewster family in Eastport during the 1880 U.S. Census.
