NICKENS, Charles "Buster" Edward, Sr., age 74, passed away on March 17, 2015, at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN. He was born in Nashville, TN, on March 16, 1941, to Irvin Nickens and Margaret Barnes Nickens. He was a United States Air Force veteran. He worked as a mechanic most of his life and last in the Parts Department at Pep Boys. He is preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Margaret Nickens; brother, Dwight Nickens, and sister, Ida Akins. He is survived by his son, Charles E. "Buster" Nickens, Jr.; daughters, Jill Lewellyan (Glenn) and Joy Ashley; brother, Steve Nickens; sister, Nellie Crocker; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Friday, March 20, 2015, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Bro. Dewey Keys officiating. Burial will follow in Cowan Cemetery in Nashville, Tn. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 19, 2015, from 3pm to 7pm and on Friday, March 20, 2015, from 10am until service hour of 1pm.
