Earl D. Suter, 85, 308 Nebraska Drive, Goshen, died Friday at 9:15 a.m. at Courtyard Healthcare, Goshen.

He was born March 25, 1924, in Fortuna, Mo., to Edwin and Fannie (Garber) Suter.

He married Marjorie Frauhiger May 14, 1949. She survives.

Other survivors include his two sons, David (Sue) Suter, Knoxville, Tenn., and Douglas (Barb) Suter, Elkhart; and two grandchildren, Renee Suter and Monica Suter.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

He worked for 20 years as an auto mechanic at R&K Service, Goshen, and 25 years at Frauhiger Amusement, Goshen. He attended the First Brethren Church, Goshen, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Goshen. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was discharged in 1945.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will take place Sunday at 1 p.m. at First Brethren Church, Goshen, followed by a dinner for family and friends at the church. The Rev. John Drexler of the church will officiate at the service.

Burial will be in Violett Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Light Hospice or First Brethren Church, Goshen.
